We love surprises, except when it comes to color reproduction. If you’ve designed your poster in using RGB mode, you may be surprised to see changes in your colors after printing.

Why?

RGB (Red, Green, & Blue) color mode / space is intended for use in electronic displays, like your computer monitor or television. This color mode is based on combining light, not inks. As a result, some colors (like bright greens) may look great on your screen, but can’t be accurately reproduced using printing inks. If your poster has been designed in the wrong color space, you will notice a color shift from your monitor to the final printed piece. Make sure you double check your instant proof for color accuracy.

Unless properly calibrated, most monitors and screens will not display printing colors accurately. Your choice in paper stocks may also affect final color reproduction.
